These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the Movepool platform, website, applications, and related services.

By accessing or using Movepool, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Movepool.

2. About Movepool

Movepool Ltd (“Movepool”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates a technology platform that connects customers with independent moving, transport, and logistics providers.

Movepool is not a removal company, transport operator, carrier, or employer of providers.

Providers available through the platform are independent businesses and are solely responsible for the services they provide.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Movepool.

By using the platform, you confirm that:

  • You have legal capacity to enter into contracts
  • The information you provide is accurate
  • You will comply with applicable laws

4. Accounts

Users may create accounts to access platform features.

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining account confidentiality
  • Protecting login credentials
  • All activity under your account

Movepool may suspend or terminate accounts where:

  • Fraud is suspected
  • Abuse occurs
  • These Terms are violated
  • Security risks are identified

5. Quotes and Pricing

Movepool may provide estimated or fixed-price quotes based on information supplied by users.

Quotes depend on factors including:

  • Distance
  • Inventory
  • Property details
  • Accessibility
  • Timing
  • Additional services

Users are responsible for ensuring all booking information is accurate.

Additional charges may apply where:

  • Information provided is inaccurate
  • Additional items are added
  • Access conditions differ materially
  • Waiting times occur
  • Services requested exceed the original booking scope

6. Booking Process

A booking is confirmed only when:

  • Payment is successfully authorised or completed; and
  • Confirmation is issued through the platform.

Movepool may assign or offer bookings to independent providers through automated or manual systems.

Movepool does not guarantee provider availability.

7. Provider Relationship

Providers are independent businesses and are not employees, workers, agents, or representatives of Movepool.

Providers are solely responsible for:

  • Performing booked services
  • Vehicles and equipment
  • Insurance coverage
  • Licences and permits
  • Compliance with laws
  • Staff and subcontractors
  • Handling customer goods

Movepool does not supervise or control how providers perform services.

8. Customer Responsibilities

Customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate booking information
  • Ensure safe and legal access to properties
  • Ensure items are properly packed where packing services are not included
  • Declare oversized, fragile, hazardous, or valuable items
  • Comply with provider instructions reasonably necessary for safety

Customers must not:

  • Misuse the platform
  • Engage in abusive behaviour
  • Provide misleading information
  • Attempt fraud or chargeback abuse

9. Restricted and Prohibited Items

The following items may not be transported unless expressly agreed:

  • Illegal goods
  • Hazardous materials
  • Explosives
  • Firearms
  • Perishable goods
  • Live animals
  • Cash
  • Controlled substances
  • Dangerous chemicals

Providers may refuse transportation of prohibited items.

10. Payments

Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers.

By using Movepool, users authorise payment processing necessary to complete bookings.

Movepool may:

  • Hold payments temporarily
  • Delay payouts where fraud or disputes are suspected
  • Issue refunds where appropriate
  • Deduct platform fees or charges

Failure to complete payment may result in cancellation.

11. Cancellations and Refunds

11.1 Customer Cancellations

Cancellation terms may depend on:

  • Timing before the move
  • Provider allocation status
  • Costs already incurred

Refunds may be reduced where:

  • Providers have already been assigned
  • Administrative costs were incurred
  • Short-notice cancellation occurs

11.2 Provider Cancellations

Providers may cancel where:

  • Safety risks exist
  • Access is unsafe
  • Information provided is materially inaccurate
  • Prohibited items are involved
  • Circumstances beyond reasonable control arise

Movepool may attempt reassignment but does not guarantee replacement availability.

11.3 Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds may be refused in cases including:

  • Fraudulent activity
  • Abuse of promotions or referrals
  • Chargeback misuse
  • Material breaches of these Terms

12. Delays and Force Majeure

Movepool and providers are not responsible for delays caused by events outside reasonable control, including:

  • Traffic
  • Severe weather
  • Road closures
  • Vehicle breakdowns
  • Accidents
  • Government actions
  • Internet or platform outages
  • Labour disputes
  • Natural disasters

13. Damage and Loss

Providers are responsible for handling customer goods during services they perform.

Claims relating to damage or loss should first be directed to the relevant provider.

Movepool is a platform facilitator and is not automatically liable for:

  • Damage to goods
  • Delays
  • Service quality issues
  • Provider conduct
  • Indirect losses

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where exclusion is unlawful.

Users are encouraged to ensure adequate insurance coverage for valuable goods.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Movepool shall not be liable for:

  • Indirect or consequential losses
  • Loss of profit
  • Loss of business
  • Emotional distress
  • Loss caused by provider conduct
  • Delays outside reasonable control
  • Data loss or service interruption

Movepool’s total liability arising from a booking shall not exceed the amount of platform fees paid directly to Movepool for that booking.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for:

  • Fraud
  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Liability that cannot lawfully be excluded

15. Disputes

Users should first attempt to resolve disputes directly with providers where appropriate.

Movepool may assist in dispute resolution at its discretion but is not obligated to adjudicate disputes.

Movepool reserves the right to:

  • Suspend accounts during investigations
  • Hold payouts temporarily
  • Request evidence
  • Remove providers or users

16. Referrals and Promotions

Movepool may operate referral or promotional programmes.

Referral rewards, discounts, or credits:

  • May be withdrawn or modified at any time
  • May be subject to eligibility rules
  • May be refused in cases of fraud or abuse

Movepool reserves the right to reverse rewards obtained improperly.

17. Intellectual Property

All rights relating to the Movepool platform, branding, software, and content remain the property of Movepool or its licensors.

Users may not:

  • Copy the platform
  • Reverse engineer systems
  • Use branding without permission
  • Scrape or harvest data
  • Use automated tools unlawfully

18. Privacy and Data Protection

Movepool processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

By using the platform, users acknowledge that personal data may be shared with providers where necessary to fulfil bookings.

19. Platform Availability

Movepool does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

The platform may be unavailable temporarily due to:

  • Maintenance
  • Security updates
  • Technical failures
  • Third-party outages

Movepool may modify or discontinue features at any time.

20. Fraud Prevention and Security

Movepool may investigate suspected:

  • Fraud
  • Payment abuse
  • Referral abuse
  • Account misuse
  • Unlawful activity

Movepool reserves the right to:

  • Suspend accounts
  • Hold payments or payouts
  • Cancel bookings
  • Report suspected criminal activity

21. Third-Party Services

Movepool may integrate third-party services including:

  • Payment processors
  • Mapping providers
  • Analytics providers
  • Hosting providers
  • Communication tools

Movepool is not responsible for third-party services or external websites.

22. Changes to These Terms

Movepool may update these Terms from time to time.

Updated Terms will be published on the platform with a revised “Last Updated” date.

Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of revised Terms.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
